Our Purpose
The Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick of Lackawanna County is a fraternal organization founded in 1906 to commemorate appropriately the Feast of Saint Patrick and to be a vehicle for each generation to remember the distinctive religious, cultural, and intellectual gifts characteristic of earlier generations of Irish-Americans of our area. It strives also to provide opportunities for education in Irish history, oratory, and music but especially wishes to provide an opportunity for social companionship and friendship.
