Daniel P. Haggerty, Esq. is the Owner and President of PMJ Mergers. Daniel previously worked for family-owned Times-Shamrock Communications as Publisher of the company’s two Luzerne County daily
newspapers, The Citizens’ Voice, Wilkes-Barre, PA and the Standard-Speaker, Hazleton, PA. He also held positions at various media properties, including The New York Times and the Baltimore City Paper. While at Times-Shamrock, Mr. Haggerty chaired the Acquisition Team, which sought to diversify the company’s holdings in other industries. He joined PMJ as Vice-President in 2011.

Mr. Haggerty is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and received his Law Degree and MBA from Villanova University. After Law School, he served as law clerk for the Hon. Thomas I. Vanaskie, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and former Judge for the U.S Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Daniel is a member of the Lackawanna County Bar Association and admitted to practice law by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Daniel currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Keystone College in LaPlume, PA. Daniel is also the former President of the Pennsylvania Business Brokers Association for 2018 and 2019 and
currently serves as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors. In addition, Daniel is the former Chairman of the Board of the Family Business Alliance at Wilkes University and Penn State Scranton from 2016-2020.

In addition, Daniel serves as President-elect of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Lackawanna County, where he served as both Assistant Secretary and Secretary. Daniel also served as the Society’s Toastmaster at their 110th annual Dinner in 2015 with principal speaker Vice President Joe Biden. He is also actively involved in many other community, non-profit, and youth sports organizations in Northeast PA.

Daniel currently owns companies across various industries, including Manufacturing, Retail, and Media/Advertising.

Daniel’s wife, Meghan, is a physician and practices as a Radiation Oncologist at Northeast Radiation Oncology Centers (NROC) in Dunmore, PA, a privately-owned cancer treatment center. Daniel and Meghan have three young children – Daniel Patrick Jr., James Joseph, and Anne Elizabeth.
